Description Ellis Rowan was a well-known Australian artist and botanical illustrator. She also did a series of illustrations on birds, butterflies and insects. This beautiful Fritillary is a supreme representation of her skill and eye for detail. Don’t be daunted. Use very simple stitches – and if you wish, we can provide some suggestions.
