The buildings of the university are shown, including Radcliffe Dormitories, Physics Laboratories, Law School, Graduate School of Business Administration, Stadium, Lowell House and Memorial Hall. Small figures row on the Charles River, play tennis and run track. Short descriptions with historical information accompany the illustrations. A vignette of Harvard College during the American Revolution is also included. The crests of the various colleges are shown, and the University Veritas crest and pilgrim hats decorate the border. The cartouche incorporates the bronze statue of founder John Harvard that sits in Harvard Yard. The two towers of Leverett House, completed in 1960, are shown, but Mather House, which opened in 1970, is not, dating this map to sometime in the 1960s. Another extant example of this map copyrighted 1959 is in a private collection. Product description continues below.
