This elegant red is one of those wines which seems to go with almost everything. Terrific on its own as it’s so smooth and the tannins are so integrated, but it’s a clear winner with almost any type of pizza and is also great with hearty vegetarian dishes like ratatouille. Lots of red and black cherries from the Sangiovese, and herbaceous, plum notes from the Merlot.
